Daniels Birthday

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. ~ Eleanor Roosevelt

It does not surprise me that Daniels Day was dramatic. His big present was the purchase of our farm. We were scheduled to sell our beloved home of 15 years and purchase our farm the day before Daniels birthday. Well, it turned out we sold our home and bought the farm on Daniels Special day. We also broke ground - made the entrance and laid the gravel for the driveway. Daniel even rode in one of the big dozers.

As for presents, the biggest highlight was the ship anchor. It was top on Daniels wish list. Searching the web weeks in advance I found the a 48" anchor a week prior to his birthday. It was in a big box, wrapped in red paper with a big red bow. Some of Daniels thoughts of what it might be included a horse, a puppy, but it was too big to be a ship anchor. It is hilarious a child's sense of size.

Grammy and Pop Pop visited and helped out with the unpacking. (We are now renting a house not far from where we are building our new home.) Thank goodness they brougt nourishing food for our exhausted bodies and a birthday cake! We decorated it with an anchor.

Looking back it is amazing what we accomplished
on and around Daniels Day and what a special day it
was for all of us. I believe things work out for a reason and a mystery it will always be.
